Abstract: Interempty Space - The Global City focuses on the city of Berlin as a precinct of the Global City. It seeks to generate a sense of the city while raising debates concerning the roles of citizenship, migration, and tourism in the mediated city. Finally, however, it raises the question of how the virtual city can be occupied, and brought to life by the visitor to the site, and what role the individual can play in realising the global city no matter where they live and comprise that city in the world today.
